In 2009, I was in college studying Business Management with an emphasis in Entrpreneurship. My brother and his wife were working on a few entrpreneurial projects and one of them had always excited me.

It was called Puj, and they made minimal baby carriers and cute baby shoes, all made by hand by my talented sister-in-law.

One day, I approached them and asked if I could help them with sales and marketing. To be honest, I didn't even know what that meant. But I was cheap labor (i.e. free), so they said sure.

They were getting ready to attend a tradeshow in Las Vegas, the largest one in North America for the juvenile industry. I started reaching out to buyers, inviting them to come and visit our booth and check out our product line. I don't recall having much success, but that didn't appear to matter because as soon as the tradeshow started, our booth was one of the busiest–if not THE busiest–of the entire show.

We were not ready to scale per se, but we did our best to figure things out. We setup a 3PL, built a new website, started selling on marketplaces, got setup with some national retailers, and started shipping containers to partners in other countries.

It was a wild, rewarding ride and in 2015 I decided to take what I had learned from that experience and help other up and coming brands who were also trying to scale. That is when Genesis was born.

Since then, Genesis has worked with brands across multiple categories and has helped them across all aspects and departments with the goal of helping them take their products and ideas to the masses.

The future is bright, and we're just getting started.
